President's Corner
May 2024
The Kansas City Metropolitan Amateur Radio Community lost one of its greatest spokespersons and supporters on April 17th. Larry Staples, WØAIB, the mastermind behind Larry’s List became a silent key. Larry was key with getting Amateur Radio supporting the various bike and running events. It was through his efforts in this area that we have numerous public service events that are supported by hams.
We would like to dedicate June’s Feedback to Larry. To help us, please spend a few moments and write down your memories of Larry. Send them along to Tim Wiegman, KBØYQN, our Feedback editor, so they will be included in the June Feedback.
Since we had to move meetings around a bit in April due to church availability and weather, we will try to get things back on track.
May is our club’s month to provide volunteers for Ensor. May 11th requires additional volunteers to assist with EnsorFest ‘24. Ted Knapp, NØTEK, has a signup genius for both activities. Remember that each time you sign up your name is entered into a drawing for an Associated Radio gift certificate.
Club nominations and elections of officers will be held at the June 14th meeting. Their one-year term begins in August.

Bill KA2FNK, President
