Yaesu Fusion 

On April 29, 2015 the JCRAC turned on their new Yaesu Fusion digital repeater.  This repeater operates on a frequency of 442.600 MHz with a +5 MHz offset.  The repeater is located near 65th and Quivira on a 200 ft Cell Phone tower. 

Since that time the club replaced their existing UHF repeater with a Yaesu Fusion digital repeater.  This repeater operates on the frequency of 443.725 MHz with a +5 MHz offset.  The repeater is located near Lamar and College Blvd. 

These two repeaters operate in the Fusion (C4FM) digital mode only.  These digital repeaters do not utilize tones.  It is recommended you use the “DN” mode (voice narrow) because of the forward error correction and radio location information provided by this mode. 

WIRES-X Mode 

The 442.600 MHz and the 443.725 MHz repeaters are connected to the Yaesu Kansas City Room (Room #28952) via Wires-X node stations.  The node stations are provided by volunteers.  The node stations are always connected to the Kansas City room.  You do not need to use the Wires-X function of your radio to connect to the Kansas City room.  You are automatically connected to the Kansas City room when you talk on these repeaters.  These repeaters and the rest of the Kansas City Room linked repeaters are configured to connect to only the Kansas City Room and cannot be changed.
